As the saying goes, there is a class that comes with wealth. However, the ultimate class for wealth in today’s world, is indeed the table of the billionaires in dollars. A circle of selected few individuals whose businesses thrives so well, to amass massive fortunes.

According to Wikipedia, the total billionaires in the world amounts to 2,208. Interestingly all the continents with the exception of Antarctica have representatives, even though the numbers varies.

Starting with Asia, there is the total number of 719 billionaires, and the richest in the continent is Mukesh Ambani, the chairman, of Reliance Industries Limited.

In North America, there are 631 billionaires, including the richest man in the continent, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon.com.

Europe has a total number 559 billionaires and Bernard Arnault Arnault, the Chairman and Chief Executive of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton leads the ranking.

In South America, there 85 billionaires, with Jorge Paulo Lemann the Brazilian businessman topping the list.

The Oceania continent has 35 billionaires and Gina Rinehart, the Australian mining magnate stands as the richest.

In Africa, there are 25 billionaires in the continent, with Aliko Dangote, Nigerian business magnate and owner of the Dangote Group, as the richest.

Interestingly, it is a pursuit of every billionaire in indigenous currency to rise to the standard of a globally recognized billionaire. That is why the numbers keep increasing year in year out.
