Mtn Tries 5G Connectivity In Calabar.

With the wave of 5G launches around the world and the rave reviews it has been getting, African service provider MTN has piloted a test phase of the technology in Calabar; Cross River State of Nigeria.

MTN focused on how 5G provides customers with improved capability, speed and latency experience during the 5G demonstration.

Kenneth Uzoekwe, an engineer and assistant director, Spectrum Administration, of the NCC headed the 5G trial delegation in Calabar, adding that the NCC is actively pursuing the legislative reforms that bring the country to the forefront of digitalization, creating greater value and offering the Nigerian people new prospects of productivity and lauded MTN for being pioneers, as Nigeria becomes the first country in West Africa to have 5G trials.
