Meet Kayode Ogunro, Nigerian Investment Professional who was Special Adviser to former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

Kayode Ogunro is a Nigerian investment professional and co-founder & managing partner at Aion Holdings.


Kayode had over a decade experience in equity management before co-founding Aion Holdings, he currently works in the private sector and also for the Nigerian government.


However, He was a founding team member and portfolio manager at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), responsible for infrastructure and illiquid investments as well as leading NSIA’s efforts in energy infrastructure.


Prior to NSIA, Kayode served as Special Advisor to then Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. He was responsible for the set up of the Sovereign Wealth Fund and matters related to investment and capital markets.


Kayode serves as Co-Chair on the advisory board of the Harvard Center for African Studies; and on the West Africa advisory committee for the Rhodes Trust, the organisation which awards Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University.


He’s a 2017 Tutu Leadership Fellow and holds a Bachelor’s degree (Economics) from Harvard University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
